We Could not be prouder of our Scholarship recipient, Kari Ousterhout!!!!!
Kari Ousterhout, a 2013 graduate of Mandeville High School and the recipient of the Skipper Award in Memory of Ivan Zenon Scholarship. Kari graduated last year from the University of Alabama at Birmingham earning a Master of Science in Nursing and has passed the national boards and is pursuing a job as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Birmingham, AL.
The Skipper Award Scholarship in Memory of Ivan Zenon fund has since closed, but in 2013 & 2014 the fund awarded a $10K scholarship to two Mandeville High School graduates to help their higher education dreams come true.
Becoming a nurse practitioner had been Kari’s ultimate dream for years. “I am truly grateful for the scholarship that allowed me to pursue a career path that I am so passionate about and look forward to improving the quality of life of others.”
We Could not be prouder of our Second Scholarship recipient, Sabrina Miller!!!!!
We are so proud of our First Scholarship recipient, Diamond Sampson!!!!! Keep up the good work!
To honor Greg’s amazing life and carry on his legacy, we have established the Greg Zelden Foundation Fund. The fund's mission is to give access to students who are interested in pursuing a career in sports medicine, physical therapy, etc., from the Northshore Region. What that really means is scholarships to increase the number of trained professionals available on the sidelines in the future. It is our goal to raise $100,000 to ensure availability of the scholarship for many years to come.
